Loni Tales began with a quiet, homesick craving. Far from home, searching for the taste of thecha, one simple question sparked everything: why are our bold Indian flavours limited to traditional formats?

We grew up in kitchens where food had personality. Where butter wasn’t just spread, it was a generous swipe on parathas. A melting spoon over dal. A comforting layer on toast during slow Sunday mornings.

But when we looked at the butter aisle, it felt… flat. So we decided to change that.

Rahi, a food scientist, sparked the idea for Loni Tales during a homesick moment while pursuing her master’s degree in Australia. Craving the bold comfort of Indian flavours like thecha, she began questioning why such flavours were limited to traditional formats.

That curiosity evolved into a clear opportunity: reimagine beloved Indian flavours as flavoured butters that could transform everyday meals.

Rahi brings research-driven thinking, intentional product development, and multiple rounds of flavour refinement to ensure each butter is authentic, balanced, and true to its name. Her focus remains on clean ingredients, no preservatives, and delivering flavour without compromise.

Disha co-founded Loni Tales with the belief that the Indian dairy space was ready for bold change. Having grown up around deeply flavourful Indian food, she saw a clear gap in the market for butter that reflected the Indian palate.

She leads with curiosity, intention, and instinct, constantly pushing for flavours that feel nostalgic yet modern. She is focused on building a brand that is playful, flavour-forward, and rooted in quality.
